The original website was busy and confusing, making it difficult for visitors to find what they were looking for quickly or navigate to areas of general interest. The researched proved that high rates of people were leaving the site after one page, entering via pages other than the home page, and not navigating around the site.
The new site is clean and pared back, allowing for simple clear navigation, larger type and room for imagery. Colours from their logo were used, and new neutrals were added to their palette to provide balance. A bespoke grid was employed to give the many page styles structure and a new typeface was chosen to increase legibility and add personality. Finally, page templates were provided to ensure fewer custom pages for an easier development process. The initial structure and template pages were coded, and handed over for a more cost effective internal development.
