Brand development for Collect+ a new delivery service that has changed how parcels are sent and received. The brand style was developed to more effectively communicate the benefits of the service. Once the concepts were approved and the new brand assets (icons, infographics, imagery and typography) created we delivered a full set of design guidelines to clearly demonstrate how the new look should be applied across all retailer and partner media.
The original website was busy and confusing, making it difficult for visitors to find what they were looking for quickly or navigate to areas of general interest. The researched proved that high rates of people were leaving the site after one page, entering via pages other than the home page, and not navigating around the site.
The new site is clean and pared back, allowing for simple clear navigation, larger type and room for imagery. Colours from their logo were used, and new neutrals were added to their palette to provide balance. A bespoke grid was employed to give the many page styles structure and a new typeface was chosen to increase legibility and add personality. Finally, page templates were provided to ensure fewer custom pages for an easier development process. The initial structure and template pages were coded, and handed over for a more cost effective internal development.
Identity design for a start-up consultancy specialising in branding and marketing strategy. Fire and Flux has a flexible, bespoke and collaborative approach to design management backed up with solid industry experience.
The name comes from the philosophy of eternal change. You can never step into the same river twice for the simple reason that the water you dip your toes into on the second occasion is not the water you touched the first time around. Fire is not seen as destructive but transformative — everything exists in a permanent state of flux.
Rosy Tomorrows is a Heritage Farm based in Florida. It practises an integrated system of farming, based on breed diversity and livestock rotation that is better for the animals, consumers and the environment. They raise heritage breeds that have fallen out of favour with large agri-businesses, using grazing and livestock rotation methods to enhance their grass, which in turn nourishes the animals.
Their interdependent breed and rotational system is shown in the logo through the stacked animals, bringing a lighthearted touch to the concept. Being new farmers, but resurrecting an old ideal – the logo was positioned as a modern classic, using strong and expressive serif typography. The colour scheme was chosen to represent the owner’s ideal of a better tomorrow, with bright sunset tones that suited their Florida location – and contrasted with the overused greens, blues and browns in their industry.
The overall effect is bright, bold and fun – but carefully crafted with enough seriousness to demonstrate knowledge and credibility.

Ultramarine are the Sunday league team that I play for. The team has played it's home games and trained on Tuesday nights at The Westway Sport Centre since 1993, so it was with some surprise and anger that we were told the Tuesday night booking would no longer be available to us. In protest we put together this book, it demonstrates how much the team has invested in The Westway over the years, and how Ultramarine are an important part of the local community and deserve some loyalty in return.Read More
